The public can acquire a library card at Chalmers Library. It is only, however, students and employees who have full access to the library’s resources.
Students and employees:
- Borrow books.
- Book group study rooms.
- Access e-resources off-campus via Chalmers VPN (Virtual Private Network) or via the library’s proxy service.
- Borrow lockers, whiteboard pens, ear phones, scanners, usb memory sticks etc.
- Use the library’s computers, login with your Chalmers ID (CID).
The library card is valid at the Main Library and the Architecture and Civil Engineering Library at Campus Johanneberg and Kuggen at Campus Lindholmen. When you graduate or terminate your employment at Chalmers you will no longer have off-campus access to the e-resources.
Non-Chalmers affiliated patrons
Due to licensing agreements, patrons not affiliated with Chalmers can only access electronic resources at the library and not from off campus.
Note also that you are not able to reserve group study rooms or use our printers.
