[2020-03-30] Updated information on Extended access to e-resources
[2020-03-26] Updated information on Homework tutoring, Online tutorials and Articles
All Chalmers libraries have closed for the time being due to Covid-19, from March 18 onwards. During this period, you can still reach us by phone and email and you can access all our e-resources as usual.
Loans, returns and reservations
If you have ongoing loans, we have automatically given them April 11 as a new due date so that you do not have to bring the books to the library until this date. If the library remains closed we will continuously postpone the due date.
It is not possible to check out books or make reservations during the closing time. If you would like to return books, please use the book drop at the main library, Hörsalsvägen 2. If you have reserved books, it is currently not possible to check out books from the library. The reservations remain on your behalf so you can retrieve them when the library has reopened.
Articles for pick-up
If you have articles ready for pick-up at our libraries, you can contact us and we will send the articles by mail shortly.
If you need to submit your dissertation to the library, contact us at email@example.com and we will try to find a solution.
Databases & e-resources
You can access our e-resources and databases as usual via lib.chalmers.se.
Extended access to e-books and e-journals
Many publishers are offering temporary free or extended access to e-books and other e-resources to help those institutions who are transitioning to distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The library is putting together a list of e-resources.
In addition, some publishers offers help by giving access to individual titles to those institutions who contact them with information about their needs. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if there is any resource that might help you, and we will investigate the possibilities for access.
Access to electronic resources
As a student or employee of Chalmers, you can also access databases, e-books, and e-journals from outside the campus.
