Use the search box to search the library's information resources. To limit your search to journals, articles etc., press Filter, select one of the options and enter your search terms.
Articles: Your search is limited to articles from journals. From your search results you can further drill down the results by using the facets in the left menu such as peer-review and online availability.
E-books and printed books: This option retrieves e-books and printed books only.
Printed books: Limits your results to printed books. From the search results you can filter your search to include books available at either one of our three libraries.
Journals: Use this option if you are looking for a specific journal. The majority of our journals are available online. You can narrow your search results by using the facets in the left menu.
If you prefer to search for journal titles in an alphabetically sorted list, please use the Journals A-Z.

Databases: Enter words from the database title or subject area. Use English terms. Please note that databases often cover large areas and the search terms therefore need to be broad, for example Physics.
In the Database search you may browse by name, subject areas or type of content.
CPL: Use this filter to locate dissertations or articles written by researchers at Chalmers. Your search will be forwarded to Chalmers Publication Library - CPL.
Studentarbeten.chalmers.se: Choose this filter to search for Chalmers student theses.

Access e-books, databases and e-journals
How do I access the wireless network?
As a student or employee at Chalmers you can use the wireless network Eduroam at the library. Find information on how to connect to Eduroam at Studentportalen.
How do I access e-resources from home?
Students and employees at Chalmers can login to e-resources off-campus with your CID or via VPN. Please see Off campus access for more information.
Why can't I access an e-book?
Off campus access to e-resources is only available to Chalmers affiliated students and staff. Use the search services via the library’s website and you will automatically get the login prompt to reach the article, e-book, or database. The public is welcome to read e-resources in the library.
How do I download an e-book I have found?
Access to e-books varies depending on e-book vendor. Some books may only be read online. Others may be downloaded in part or in full. Detailed information is available under More info in the list of e-book suppliers.
Can I print or copy an e-book or an electronic article?
How do I know which databases are available at the library?
In the database search you can filter on Subject area or Type of content. You will find the databases that the library recommends at the top of the list. Don't know where to start? Try the encyclopedia AccessScience or search for articles in Scopus or Web of Science.
How do I find Chalmers affiliated reports, student theses and dissertations?
In the search box above, enter the author’s name or title to find both printed and electronic versions of reports, student theses and dissertations. Chalmers research publications are also searchable in CPL (Chalmers Publication Library) and student theses in the search service Studentarbeten. If you are interested in publications from a particular department use the Extended Search in CPL (or in Studentarbeten) and search on the Department Name.
How do I find the library's e-journals and journals?
The easiest way to search for journals is to select filter Journals in the search box above. If you prefer to search in a traditional (alphabetically sorted) list, please use Journals A-Z.
