Filters in the search box
Articles: Articles from scholarly journals. Using the peer-review facet in the left menu you will limit to articles reviewed by experts in the field.
E-books and printed books: Online books in full text as well as print books. Please note that theses are not found using this filter.
Printed books: Make a request if the book is currently on loan or if you want to collect it at a different branch library.
E-journals: Enter words from the title of the journal to get to the list of e-journals.
Databases: Enter words from the database title or subject area to get to the list of List of databases. Use English terms. Databases often cover large areas and the search terms therefore need to be broad, for example Physics.

On August 17 the libraries opens with limited services, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Study places and reading rooms are still unavailable due to Covid19.

The library opens with limited services on August 17
On Monday, August 17, the Main Library, Chalmers Learning Commons Kuggen and the Architecture and Civil Engineering Library will open with limited service. The libraries has implemented a number of measures to reduce the spread of infection and will be open between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Our study environments will continue to be closed. We will increase our digital presence via zoom, telephone and email.
This is valid from August 17.
Our libraries are open weekdays 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and our telephone hours are 9 a.m. - 16 p.m. You can find all times and contact details on the library's webpage.

In addition to the library's opening hours, you can contact us on Zoom between 8.30 a.m. and 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.
The libraries are open weekdays 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Kuggen and ACE are only open with key card.
Our opening hours will be 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. We will offer the following services:
- Pick up requested books, that you have preordered from home. The reservation must be made before a.m. to be on the shelf the same day. You will receive a notification when your material is placed on the shelf.
- Borrow in the self-service machine
- Return your loans in the self-service machine
- Search for library materials
- Get help with shorter questions
Please note that the study environments will remain closed until further notice.
At the Main Library, in addition to downloading your reservations, you can print from the computers at Studenttorget.
Chalmers Learning Commons Kuggen
Kuggen will have its entrance doors closed so you will need to have your key card to enter. The copy space is open but is limited to one person at a time. The study environment on the entrance, lower and upper levels are not available.
Architecture and Civil engineering library
The ACE library will have its entrance doors closed so you must have your key card to enter. The copy space is open but is limited to one person at a time.

As a student or employee of Chalmers, you can also access databases, e-books, and e-journals from outside the campus.

Service for students with reading disabilities
The library at Johanneberg and in Kuggen, Lindholmen, has a reading studio equipped for students with reading disabilities.
Chalmers Library’s range of services may change due to Folkhälsomyndigheten’s recommendations.
