Chalmers Open Access policy
Open Access is the practice of providing unrestricted Internet access to research publications. To ensure that Chalmers' research results are disseminated as widely as possible, an Open Access Policy has been adopted.
The Policy in brief:
- Researchers at Chalmers must submit electronic full-text copies of their publications to CPL.
- Transfer of copyright should be avoided if possible.
- The author should secure the right to parallel publish his/her work.
- Publishing in journals that are freely available, so-called Open Access journals, is recommended when appropriate.
- Exceptions from this policy can be granted in exceptional cases.
Read the full policy on Chalmers web pages.
Useful information for researchers at Chalmers
The policy was implemented January 1, 2010 and is applicable to all publications for which a publishing or copyright transferring agreement was signed after the above date. All publications produced by researchers at Chalmers, except for books, book chapters and patents are covered by the policy. The full-text should be submitted to CPL within 6 months after publishing (12 months in exceptional cases). Please note that a copy should be submitted regardless of depositions in other open archives or if your publication has been published in an OA journal.
