Database information

Abstract and citation database in medicine. This is the free version of MEDLINE. Provided by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Type of content

PubMed is recommended by Chalmers Library because it is the most important scientific article database in biomedicine.
Difference Medline or PubMed?
Medline is the major part of PubMed and contains a more controlled selection of records. For example, just recently published articles are available as temporary records in PubMed before they are indexed and included in MEDLINE. This process can take several months.
