Fees & Payment
Delayed, lost, or damaged materials
If you fail to return borrowed materials on time, the library will send reminders via email. If the material is lost or damaged, a replacement fee of 600 SEK and an administrative fee of 200 SEK per book will be charged. After receiving the final reminder, you will be unable to borrow further materials until the fee or fees are paid. If the book is returned, you will only need to pay the administrative fee of 200 SEK per book.
The block on your account will be lifted within one business day after you have paid your fee. If you need the block to be removed earlier, you can present your payment receipt at one of our libraries.
How to pay
Payment must be made via the Chalmers webshop, Chalmers Library - Fees.
Firstly, choose what you want to pay for. If you have already returned your late book, select the administrative fee. If you have not returned your book, you must also pay a replacement fee. Then select the number of overdue books you need to pay for.
When you reach the “Checkout method,” select the “Guest” option to proceed.
Under “Payment information,” “Private customer” is pre-selected, click “Continue.”
Continue by filling in your contact details, and then enter the barcode(s) of the book(s) which you can find in the email from the library (the subject of the email is “Your library account is blocked”).
Pay online by entering your credit card details.
