Opening hours during the Christmas and New Year holidays
From week 51 through week 1, 2023, our three libraries have different opening hours than usual. See below what applies to each library.

The Main Library

Monday - Thursday 19 – 22 December: 08:00-16:00
Friday 23 December: 8:00-12:00
Christmas Eve 24 December: CLOSED
Week 52
Boxing Day 26 December: CLOSED
Tuesday - Friday 27 – 30 December: 10:00-16:00
New Year's Eve 31 December: CLOSED
Week 1
Monday - Sunday 2 – 8 January: 10:00-16:00
(During week 1, the Main Library is open extra during the weekend due to the exam period.)
Chalmers Learning Common, Kuggen
Week 51 - 52
23 December – 1 January: CLOSED. No extended opening hours.
Week 1
Monday 2 January: the information desk is unstaffed. Open with key card 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Tuesday – Wednesday 3 – 4 January: 10:00 – 14:00. Open with key card 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Thursday – Sunday 5 – 8 January: the information desk unstaffed. Open with key card 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Extended opening hours/open with key card?
Chalmers Learning Commons in Kuggen has extended opening hours on the weekend during week 1 due to the exam period. This means that if you are a student or employee at Chalmers, you have access to the building with your key card between 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Architecture and Civil Engineering Library - CLOSED
The Architecture and Civil Engineering Library will be closed from Friday, 23rd of December through Sunday, 8th of January.
Return books when the library is closed?
If you want to return books when our libraries are closed, please use the book drops which are located next to the entrances at both the Main Library and Kuggen.
