Scopus AI available now
Following a test period the library has added Scopus AI to the services available for Chalmers students and staff. Scopus AI is available to use now and for the whole of 2025.
Scopus is a large abstract and reference database containing quality-assured literature from all areas of science, and a citation search function.
What is Scopus AI?
Scopus AI is an AI-based research tool which uses Scopus’ quality assured research publications to generate summaries and help users to understand and navigate unfamiliar or complex academic content.
Scopus AI is natural language-based, meaning you can write a question instead of using specific search terms to get a result. You can choose to ask the question in whichever language suits you best, for example Swedish, although the answer will be in English.
When you write your question in Scopus AI the tool synthesizes summaries from relevant documents to generate a short subject summary, an expanded summary, and a concept map making it possible to research the subject further.
Scopus AI always cites its sources - the references used to create the summary.
