Open Access - Chalmers guiding principles
In Chalmers policy document Guiding principle for good research practice (C 2023-0615) there are three rules concerning scientific publishing.
1. Open access to publications in Chalmers research portal
All research published by Chalmers researchers must be made available in Chalmers Research Portal (research.chalmers.se), normally immediately upon publication, but no later than within 12 months. Scientific books and book chapters are recommended to be made freely available based on the requirements set by the respective research funder. Published patent applications and patents are generally exempt from this rule.
2. Avoid transferring copyright
Transfer of copyright to the publisher shall, if possible, be avoided.
3. Research published by Chalmers University of Technology is recommended to be openly available
For publications published at Chalmers (reports, dissertations, etc.), these are recommended to be made available in Chalmers Research Portal (research.chalmers.se), normally immediately upon publication.
