Publish Open Access
Researchers and students at Chalmers have the opportunity to publish open access at no cost in a large number of journals through agreements the library has with publishers. In some cases, discounted publication fees are also available. Additionally, several research funders enable cost-free publication with specific open access publishers.

Use the SciFree Tool to find journals covered by Chalmers’ open access publishing agreements.
Library publishing agreements
The library has agreements with several publishers that either enable cost-free open access publishing or provide discounts on publication fees for researchers and students at Chalmers.
The agreements are valid for a negotiated period, and articles must be accepted within this timeframe.
Some agreements operate on a “first come, first served” basis.
Publishers identify potential discounts based on the stated affiliation, but some also use email domains or IP addresses.
Conditions for coverage under the agreements
- The corresponding author must be employed at or a student at Chalmers.
- The Chalmers affiliation must be correctly stated in the article.
- The Chalmers email address should be used when submitting the manuscript.

Unless otherwise specified, these agreements apply to all journals offering open access publishing.
