Chalmers Open Access policy
Open Access is the practice of providing unrestricted Internet access to research publications. To ensure that Chalmers' research results are disseminated as widely as possible, an Open Access Policy has been adopted.
The Policy in brief:
- Researchers at Chalmers must submit electronic full-text copies of their publications to Chalmers research portal, research.chalmers.se.
- Transfer of copyright should be avoided if possible.
- The author should secure the right to parallel publish his/her work.
- Publishing in journals that are freely available, so-called Open Access journals, is recommended when appropriate.
- Exceptions from this policy can be granted in exceptional cases.
Upload your paper to Chalmers research portal
Chalmers open access policy focuses on so-called parallel publishing or self-archiving, which means that a copy of the work should be published in full-text in research.chalmers.se. A majority of the publishers registered in the database SHERPA/RoMEO allows parallel publishing. It is most often the author's final, accepted and corrected version of the article that is submitted. Some publishers require that a prepage is used; contact us and we will assist you.
