Reading and writing support for students
You can get help from the library if you need extra support with reading and writing. Here is information on the support available and how to contact our librarians.
Personal introduction to the library
You can book a personal introduction to the library with one of our librarians. During the introduction we will demonstrate software which makes it easier to read and write. We can also create a login for talking books (in Swedish) in the digital library Legimus. You book the session via Chalmers' digital learning platform Canvas.
Talking books
Legimus is an online library where you can seek and download books and textbooks (in Swedish) to your computer or the Legimus app. Based on your needs you can choose talking books or books in braille. The library will help you create an account to log in to Legimus.
The reading studio
There are reading studios which you can book at the Main Library in Johanneberg and at Chalmers Learning Commons at Kuggen in Lindholmen. The library's reading studios are computer work stations in a calm, well-lit environment. They are equipped with a variety of reading aids.
You can use the reading studio for 4 hours per day, or longer if it has not been booked by another user. The reading studios are accessible during staffed hours at the library.
In order to gain access to the reading studio you need to ask one of the contact people at the library. Once you have been given access, you can make your own bookings.
